Get to Know the Candidates for Mayor Series Week 1:

I am a lifelong Pioneer. I was born and raised in New Providence. I went to school here and got my first job here as a lifeguard and swimming coach at the community pool. After graduating from New Providence High School, I attended NYU where I graduated with a degree in Economics before obtaining my law degree from Seton Hall School of Law. After graduation, I stayed in New Providence to start my own family here. I am an active member of the New Providence Municipal Alliance and New Providence Sustainability Committee. I also helped create Swim For Food, a charity committed to using the sport of swimming to raise over 150 thousand pounds of food for New Jersey’s families in need, including those in New Providence. In addition to my volunteer work in the borough, I currently serve as a Captain and Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve where I defend soldiers throughout the northeast United States. I love New Providence and believe that fresh energy can allow our Borough to reach new heights as we move forward. We are neighbors, parents, grandparents, children, friends, volunteers, first responders, and business owners. Together, we are what makes New Providence a great community. I was raised in this community and in it, I learned the value of public service. Running for Mayor allows me the opportunity to apply the Pioneer values that have been instilled in me. I see tremendous opportunity for the future of our Borough. I want to ensure New Providence progresses in the right direction, but not at the expense of losing our small, hometown environment. Growing up here, I have watched our taxes increase at an alarming rate; our downtown small businesses vacate, replaced by numerous large banks, and excessive power outages, water main breaks and roads in disrepair. I believe there is immense potential to foster more economic innovation and growth, explore new sources of revenue while keeping taxes down, and invest in infrastructure that will serve New Providence for generations. I also believe a fresh perspective is needed to solve these problems. Tackling these challenges using the skills instilled in me by our community to is the best way for me to further serve my hometown. I know what it takes to make an impact and want nothing more than to do so for New Providence—the place that made me who I am. I am incredibly excited for this opportunity and am here to help however I can and to effectively serve our Borough. If you have any issues or questions, please feel free to reach out to me at
