As the second generation of my family to call New Providence home, I have a unique understanding of our community’s strong commitment to helping residents thrive. After attending Salt Brook Elementary School and New Providence Middle School, I graduated from New Providence High School. Like many New Providence kids, I spent my summers at the Community Pool, so it was only fitting that my very first job was as a lifeguard there, which helped me pay for college. In fact, you’ll still find me there every summer swimming laps! I’m also a proud member of the “secret society” of NP neighbors who have ordered from both Bellariva AND Coppola over 1,000 times. NP pizza is second to none!

I graduated from New York University with a degree in Economic Policy and then received my law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law. During my time at NYU, I worked for the New York City Council, which gave me great insight and experience both in the workings of local government and in crafting public policy.  My job there included helping the Council create safe and environmentally-friendly transportation policies for the City’s transit systems. Later, while at Seton Hall Law School, I aided prosecutors in building cases related to large-scale health care fraud, securities fraud and corruption at the Offices of the Attorney General of New Jersey, the New York District Attorney and the Kings County District Attorney. I went on to work for Newark’s Center for Social Justice where I advocated for New Jersey residents who could not afford a lawyer. I also worked for New Jersey Assemblyman Raj Mukherji in Jersey City, advising the Assemblyman and his staff in areas ranging from potential legislation and constituent interests to matters involving the Assemblyman’s chairmanship on the Judiciary Committee. I’m currently working as a litigation attorney in Newark while also serving as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve, where I provide defense counsel services to our servicemen and women throughout the northeastern United States.

I have always believed that I have a responsibility to give back to the community that helped shape me. I currently serve on the New Providence Sustainability Committee, which aims to advise the Borough on actions and policies relating to environmental sustainability; and the Municipal Alliance, which identifies abuse environments and root causes within the community, assesses needs, and implements effective education and prevention programs.

New Providence is a fantastic place to live. I firmly believe that the best way to move our community forward—stabilizing our property taxes, ensuring we get our fair share of resources from Union County and Trenton, and developing a transparent, responsive Borough government—is by actively working together and delivering results for our families. My roles in military leadership, government and public service have provided me with the crucial insights and experience needed both to be your voice in our Borough government and to help lead our community into the future.
